In a near future, a cataclysmic event sent humanity back to a pre-industrial age. All around you are fragments of the past, but is there any reason to rediscover the past when nobody seems to be able to remember more than 24 hours at a time?

...Is what I would put as the hook for this story, however all I have is a little tech demo of my RPG inspired by Paper Mario, Dragon Quest, and Chrono Trigger with cool little mushroom guys

Yep there's definitely several softlocks right now, next demo/showcase I'll have it a lot more stable.
